১. ইতিহাসের অর্থ ও সংজ্ঞা (Meaning and definition of History)
* ক) ‘ইতিহাস’ শব্দের উৎপত্তি। (Origin of the term History)
* খ) সর্বজনীন সংজ্ঞা সমস্যা, প্রধান বৈশিষ্ট্যসমূহ, ‘রেস গেস্টাই’ বা মানুষের ও তার পরিবেশের মিথস্ক্রিয়ার বিশেষ উল্লেখপূর্বক মানবজাতির অতীত কার্যকলাপের লিখিত বিবরণ হিসেবে ইতিহাসের একটি কার্যকর সংজ্ঞা। (Problems of universal definition, main characteristics, a working definition of history as 'Res Gestae' or the record of the past actions of mankind with special reference of the interaction between man and his environment.)
