Poster - Fazil 2nd Year English Situational Writing

আমাদের রাষ্ট্র কিংবা সমাজব্যবস্থায় প্রতিদিন নানা ধরনের ঘটনা ঘটে থাকে। এসব ঘটনার কতকগুলো আমাদের জন্য মঙ্গলজনক কিংবা সুখকর আবার কতকগুলো অমঙ্গলজনক বা উদ্বেগজনক। এই নিত্যনৈমিত্তিক ঘটনাগুলোকে কেন্দ্র করে সাধারণ জনগণের মধ্যে নির্দিষ্ট কোনো বিষয়ে ঐকমত্য সৃষ্টির লক্ষে কিংবা জনমত তৈরির জন্য পত্রিকায় প্রকাশিত বা অন্য কোথাও প্রদর্শিত বা প্রতিস্থাপিত বিজ্ঞপ্তিকে Poster বলা হয়। পোস্টারকে সাধারণত আকারে বড় এবং আঙ্গিকে আকর্ষণীয় হতে হয়। Modern post modern যুগে poster-এর ভূমিকা অনস্বীকার্য। Poster-এর কাজ হলো জনসাধারণকে যে কোনো Situational demand সম্বন্ধে জানিয়ে দেয়া। দুর্নীতি, অন্যায়, অবিচার, বিশৃঙ্খলা, সন্ত্রাস ইত্যাদির বিরুদ্ধে প্রতিবাদ বা প্রতিরোধ করার জন্য পোস্টারের ভূমিকা অপরিসীম। সংশ্লিষ্ট জনসাধারণ যাতে করে বিভিন্ন অনিয়ম বা অনাচারের বিরুদ্ধে সজাগ, সচেতন, সোচ্চার এবং সক্রিয় হয় তার জন্য পোস্টারের প্রচলন করা যায় সর্বত্র। পোস্টারের ভাষা তীর্যক, আদেশ-নির্দেশক, উপদেশমূলক কিন্তু সংক্ষিপ্ত এবং দ্ব্যর্থহীন হতে হবে ।

পোস্টার তৈরি করার প্রধান প্রধান বিষয়গুলো নিচে আলোচনা করা হলো:

এটি নির্দিষ্ট দৈর্ঘ্য ও প্রস্থ বিশিষ্ট হতে হবে। মনে রাখতে হবে Poster আর leaflet কিংবা handbill এক নয়।
Situational demand অনুযায়ী বিষয়বস্তুর উল্লেখ করতে হবে। প্রয়োজনে বিষয়বস্তু বাড়াতে কমাতে হবে এবং মূল বিষয়কে highlight করতে হবে।
Why, how, when, where, who, whom, whose, what প্রভৃতি বিষয় সম্পর্কে সচেতন হতে হবে।
Poster কে, কোথায়, কখন প্রকাশ করেছে তা সবার শেষে উল্লেখ করতে হবে, এটির আইনগত স্বীকৃতিও রয়েছে।
Poster-এর চারটি অপরিহার্য বিষয় হলো :
(a) Paradigm (মতবাদসংক্রান্ত কথা ) / Brief expression of main theme (মূল বিষয়ের সংক্ষিপ্ত প্রকাশ)
(b) Expression of main theme in detail (মূল বিষয়ের সবিস্তারে প্রকাশ)
(c) Invitation / Convocation (আমন্ত্রণ/সমবেত হওয়ার জন্য আহ্বান)
(d) Circulation (প্রচারণা)

শিক্ষার্থীদের শেখার সুবিধার্থে নিচে Poster-এর কতিপয় গুরুত্বপূর্ণ উদাহরণ দেয়া হলো:
